Salvaged from PA. Made entirely of a solid hardwood (not hollow) & is tapered (wider at the bottom than at the top)This column was originally installed in the corner of a porch & had 2 handrails connected to it. We could fill those mortises with solid wood, as well as make any other repairs or modifications. If you're interested, email us with a description of what you'd like done to the column and we'll give you a price.A small portion of the bottom was chewed up by termites. The damage was limited to only that part and there is no termite damage anywhere else. A thin layer (~1") of the bottom could be cut to remove the damaged portion.Although it may look rough in the photos, the column is strong, sturdy, and in great shape considering it's age. There are checks, nicks, scrapes, scratches from top to bottom, which will be removed during sanding, and whatever remains could be filled with putty or left as "character marks."
