Sabalan ). Best condition vintage possible! The rug has been professionally cleaned. Full even original pile. No stains, tears, holes, animal or smoke. Double tied knots upon two foundation layers for another century of durability. Rich spectrum of red from pomegranate madder root and vermilion, dark to light blue from indigo grape lilac hyacinth and centaurea cyanus, brown earths, wheats and tans from larkspur and weld. Very hard to find dark chocolate to black accent. Natural dyes oxidize over the century giving light and dark shades of each color called 'abrash' by curators, giving lots of tone nuance.
