Professionally cleaned. No stains, animal or smoke. There is some small antique wear over the century, but clean, durable and charming for another. Double knotted upon two foundation layers about 100 knots per square inch per foundation layer (100x2 = 200kpsi). Old world laborious vegetable dye techniques still unmatched. Organic dyes oxidize over the century giving lighter and darker tones of red and blue, a beautiful affect called 'abrash' by collectors. Lustrous red spectrum field with accents of dark navy blue, light blue, saffron, gold, green and more! Naturally derived dyes from pomegranate, beet, madder root, vermilion, indigo, lilac, weld, larkspur and more.
