The base is real silk. If there is no wrinkle, it is not silk! It had a lot of wrinkles, but I was able to iron most of wrinkles out easily as what it is shown on photos. It must be folded in shipping, and you can iron folding lines out (set the iron to low temperature for silk/wool).It may have holes, silk base thinning, silk discoloration, etc. Those are all common for old silk artwork. This one has a very large size, and you can always find some problems somewhere on the silk if you examine carefully enough. This is 100% real hand embroidered artwork.Many different colors of cotton threads were used to make subtle color change. There must be hundreds of different colors of cotton threads used to make smooth color transitions and details so every figure looks so vivid.This can be hung and also as bedsheet..”
